Who We Are

My name is Mark Busse and I run Windigo Guide service. I have been guiding fishermen in Rusk and Chippewa Counties professionally for the last ten years. I grew up in this area and have fished here for almost fifty years!

Where we are located

We are located in Cornell, Wisconsin. We are a short drive from the Twin Cities, Madison, Chicago, and Milwaukee. Google Maps

Species We Target

We fish for all types of fish that roam the waters of Northern Wisconsin. We specialize in Musky, Walleye, Smallmouth and Largemouth bass, Northern Pike, Catfish and Sturgeon.

What we provide

For Musky, Catfish, and Sturgeon. We provide all Rods reels and terminal tackle hooks lures. For other fish species you must bring your own rod reel and new line. If you are confused as to what you need just give me a call or e-mail me with your questions.

I fish out of a 16 foot Crestliner Canadian boat, it is specially decked out with a 50HP. Yamaha Motor, two trolling motors front and back, GPS, Fish finders, net, livewell anchors and all the needed personal protection equipment.

Ice Shelters provided upon request we have portable and permanent options available.

I will personally guide you on your fishing trip and run all the equipment and provide instruction to new fishermen, take photos, and general try and accommodate all your needs and make your trip a special occasion.

Open All Year

Northwest Wisconsin provides opertunities for fishing and outdoor activities all year long. There is almost no down time when there is nothing going on. We Ice Fish in the Winter and as soon as the ice goes out we are fishing Slab Crappies. The regular fishing seasopener is scheduled for the first Saturday in May. The Musky season starts the last Saturday in May. There is always somthing to fish for!
